The Leader-Movie

The transnational cooperation project “The LEADER-Movie” was to be implemented in workshops both in Finland and in Luxembourg. The main goal was to create movies by teenagers for other teenagers through a solid and productive partnership integrating a multimedia training.

To achieve this goal the participants were to be coached by experts in order to gain the necessary skills to make a short film, starting from preproduction to production and finally to postproduction.

These main activities should also enable the participants to improve their language skills and deal with each others’ culture. By involving regional actors, mostly in the phase of scouting locations for filming, European citizenship and tolerance ought to be re-enforced and the teenagers should gain an insight view of the respective LEADER regions far beyond a mere touristic one.

The aim of this innovative project was to challenge youngsters to become video-ambassadors for their host country, thus boosting their creativity and teaching them the technical skills to visualize their newly gained impressions.
